E-commerce website requirements in order to satisfy card brands
A commercial website must have the following information requirements in order to satisfy card brands (visa and mastercard)
- Refund/Cancellation Policy (in most cases these are part of wider T&C)
- A detailed description of the products and services you sell
- Contact information that includes company’s physical if possible and email addresses. It’s best if you can add a customer service phone number as well, but not all companies have it. An online form all by itself is not enough.
- Clear pricing terms. Now, some merchants operate Ask for a Quote business model and may not show prices on their web site. We can show some flexibility in this matter.
